Digital maps for data analysis and spatial analysis systems

Digital maps have long been the norm in data analysis. Spatial demonstration of the database content makes it easy to read in any case. Our standard offer in the field of digital maps are:

Map of Polish address points.

The map is created on the basis of data provided by the Central Office of Geodesy and Cartography, supplemented with data collected by our company during the creation of navigation maps and after eliminating errors in the sets provided by GUGiK. The database of address points is supplemented with demographic data from the PESEL register, and data on the amount of disposable income, purchasing budget and FMCG budget. The amount and accuracy of data allows to estimate the size of the market in any purchasing category and  in any selected area. Our data is used by large commercial companies, both directly and through the agency of IT companies creating dedicated spatial analysis systems.

Currently, a map of address points based on data from December 2021 is being developed. and on the PESEL data from July 2021. The finished product is based on data from 2020 and according to the administrative division from 2020. In the latest edition of the map, we would like to include data from the latest census, which took place between April and September 2021, but the detailed data will not be published by the Central Statistical Office until September 2022.

Retail map

The trade map consists of two interrelated layers:

  • point map of shopping centers and retail parks (geographical coordinates, address data, data of statistical units, area size, opening dates)
  • point map of stores (geographical coordinates, address data, data of statistical units, retail space (incomplete data), opening dates (incomplete data))

Since 2009, we have been monitoring the development and changes of all major retail chains in Poland. Our store maps are used for analyzes and reports prepared in our form for industry customers, and are also purchased by the largest commercial companies in Poland. As a standard, the update process is carried out on a quarterly basis (4 updates a year), but on request it can be shortened to a two-month period (6 updates a year).

Administrative maps

Administrative maps, and more specifically a map of municipalities (gmina), is a basic map containing data on wealth, disposable income and the size of purchasing budgets for a basic administrative unit in Poland. Data on disposable income and purchase budgets are based on the data of the Central Statistical Office (Household Budget Survey), but modified with the help of published market reports for individual industries. The most detailed breakdown includes 78 purchase categories, which can be grouped into larger groups in accordance with the methodology adopted at the Central Statistical Office.

There are also maps of districts (powiat) and regions (voivodships) for which the data set is the same as for the map of gminas.

Map of the settlement network of Poland

A point map of all towns, villages, settlements, colonies, and independent hamlets, complete with population and postal code. Invaluable help in navigating the territory of Poland in GIS systems.

Maps of districts and neighborhoods

We have digitized the boundaries of districts and housing estates for 72 largest Polish cities, and for each of these units we have calculated the average disposable income and purchasing budgets. The number of cities where such a division has been made is constantly supplemented with new cities. The scope of data for individual districts or housing estates is similar to the data structure for the map of municipalities (gmina).

Data format

We work on the Map Info Professional software as standard, but most often the data are delivered in the ESRI SHP format.
